The River of Hope Ranch is hosted here at Cross Creek Stables providing a
unique environment for mental health counseling of children, teens and families.
Together with a professional counselor and an equine specialist, one gentle,
loving horse can help a child in pain find hope and healing.

A Christian nonprofit organization, the River of Hope Ranch offers
equine-assisted psychotherapy services for individual children, groups, and
families. These services can benefit young people and their families with such
issues as depression, behavioral difficulties, abuse, eating disorders, anger and
more.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147: 3
Our mission is to establish an environment where hurting children and families can find hope and
healing through God’s word and equine-assisted psychotherapy.

What is Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy or EAP is a unique treatment approach that pairs a professional
counselor with an equine specialist and then utilizes horses as a tool to improve an individual’s
emotional, behavioral, mental, and spiritual, well-being.

Our dream is to see God’s word made real and lives restored. Our vision rests on the truth of
God’s word.

We are a registered member of Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA)
a non-profit organization developed to address the need for resources, education, and
professionalism in the field of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
www.eagala.org.
Josie, Jody and Marnie are all advanced certified in this model practice of equine assisted learning
and counseling .

We are an approved organization partnering with One2One Mentoring.   Our programs extend to
surrounding counties and coalitions to help build and support successful youth within our
communities.

Our single moms group started in June with a wonderful turnout.  Many tears and laughs were
shared that evening.  We look forward to the next meeting.   Thank you to all the volunteers who
came to help out with childcare.
